Ford's answer appeared in 1995 with the breathtaking GT90 that inaugurated the experimental 'Edge Design' era, defined by its use of precise edges, tight lines and sharp graphics. The following year, Lincoln unveiled an evolution of the same theme, this time on a luxurious flagship concept rather than an open supercar.

Subaru BRZ teased ahead of Tokyo We’ve seen speculation on the Subaru BRZ – Subaru’s version of the Toyota FT-86 – increase hugely as the arrival of the production version of the BRZ approaches at the Tokyo Motor Show in just a few weeks. The general consensus is that the BRZ will get something around 295bhp – after a Subaru spokesman said the BRZ will have ‘less than 300bhp’ – but we really have no idea how much more powerful the BRZ will be than the FT-86. So when we got an email in this morning with a teaser image for the production-ready BRZ, we thought maybe Subaru has decided to put us out of our misery.

VW Amarok pick-up (2010) first official pictures

VW has unveiled its first UK-bound pick-up for a generation, the new Amarok. It's coming here in September 2010 in the double-cab bodystyle pictured; a single-cab variant will follow in 2011. The new VW Amarok has workmanlike figures, with a 1.15-tonne payload, a 2.52 sq m cargo bed and a 2.8-tonne towing capacity.
